I am an experienced Senior Computer Vision Engineer with experience in ISP algorithm, Camera, Optics and Image Quality tuning with a substantial background in image processing. I completed the Elite Master Program with Honors in Advanced Optical Technologies with MAOT Scholarship at Friedrich Alexander Universitat Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany, where I am fascinated with Laser Technology, Semi-conductor and Lens Optics, AI, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Optical Communication, Numerical Algorithms to solve Non-Linear System, Medical Imaging etc. I have a passion for traveling and experiencing different cultures of the world and capturing the photograph of these valuable moments for memorable wealth. Thus photography becomes my hobby. I have worked with the team that lead the IQ (Image Quality) and tuning & development of different ISP modules for camera systems in  camera products including evaluation of image sensors and recommendation of product use. I have detailed knowledge and technical skills in multiple ISP architecture with deep and wide ability to tune and develop modules for ISPs. I have developed metrics for objective tuning and lead the entire tuning team in testing subjective image quality across the customers. I have expanded my skills while working with amazing hardware and software engineers.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Camera Image Quality Tuning Engineer

  • Chief Architect Of Automotive Camera Rig design for Real Time Pixel Processor - RPP.   

  • Design Lens and Sensor Model with Image systems engineering toolbox for cameras.

  • Image Quality, Camera IQ assessment, IQ tuning and report to the authority responsible for this purpose.

  • IQ evaluation (Objective/subjective test methodologies design), defined test requirements, procedure etc of camera module for best IQ performance.

  • Development of ISP module (with proper split between software and hardware) and recommendation of image sensors for product bench marking (like: Skype and Lync Video Certification [very close to Imatest but its free] etc).

  • Develope metrics for objective tuning and lead the tuning team for subjective image quality testing across customers. Build custom image quality lab and software infrastructure (batch processing) for improving image quality testing and also internal and external bench marking.

  • Automating the Colour Camera Calibration Process like 3A, vignette correction, noise reduction and sharpness, temporal filtering, tone mapping, demosaicing, 3d-2d denoising,Fixed Pattern Noise Calibration and color tuning  and giving training to the team for obtaining the best calibration data.

  • My recent development include HDR Radiance Mapping, Local (taking special care of halos and wide gamut capture) and Statistical Local (Locally Adapted Single Tone Curve) HDR, Fixed Pattern Noise Correction, Noise Reduction both temporal and spatial, Adaptive Black Level,  Multiple Auto White Balance for HDR, Multiple Auto Exposure for HDR scenes, Improvement of Colour Calibration, Demosaicing etc and automating the calibration process.
